The Sleep Collective was my favorite learning experience of my professional career! Emily presented the information in a thorough, thoughtful, and well-paced manner. She clearly has not only a deep passion for sleep but also a deep respect for her students. This respect was evident throughout every aspect of the course. In the lectures, Emily does not waste time re-teaching behavioral concepts, as many CEUs do. Instead, she expands on the knowledge that we already have as BCBAs and teaches us how to apply these concepts to sleep. In the live sessions, she draws on the diverse experiences of her students and is able to turn every scenario into a learning opportunity for the entire group. In this way, we truly "learn by doing". This course has changed the trajectory of my career. I feel empowered to tackle sleep problems, confident now that I have a "specialty", and passionate about the importance of sleep. As a field (and society), we must begin to acknowledge the importance of sleep (the most important antecedent intervention!) and to use the skills that we already have to promote better sleep. I am thankful to Emily for making this information accessible to BCBAs and, by extension, the clients that we serve. ~~Katherine Klauer, MA, BCBA

Many of the teams I consult with have reported sleep concerns for their students with autism and other developmental challenges. It is common to have sleep disruptions contribute to challenging behaviors and poor emotional regulation. Sleep disruption affects everyone in the household. I was searching for a comprehensive course which would provide me with an immediately applicable skill set to address this issue. Luckily, I came across an interview given by Emily on the Behavior Observations podcast. She discussed her approach to sleep issues with both ethical and developmental considerations. I decided to sign up for the Ready Set Sleep course which was even better than I hoped. The combination of live, virtual consultation both individual and group, plus many hours of detailed webinar information on assessment and treatment provided an incredible amount of training. I was able to successfully address sleep issues with two families during the course which was greatly appreciated and fulfilled my desire to take a course which would be immediately applicable. BCBA's have a unique skill set that can really impact sleep difficulties for the children and families we work with. I HIGHLY recommend this course. Not only is Emily incredibly knowledgeable, but she is lots of fun to learn from. ~~Donna Morrison BCBA, LBA Early Start Denver Model Certified Trainer, Certified Behavioral Sleep Specialist

I reached out to Emily Varon at Ready Set Sleep to learn more about her collective and was blown away with her enthusiasm for all things sleep related, it was clear that she loves what she does and that I would be able to learn so much from her. I was not disappointed. The information that I learned from her collective has allowed me to enhance my clinical skills, has provided me with a better understanding of the relationship between sleep and problem behaviors, and has improved my support to families. I love that Emily is always open and available to touch base on case specific questions which is a great feeling when first applying the information learned. I have recommended her to friends and colleagues of mine who have shown interest in understanding sleep better. I am very happy and satisfied with my experience with the Ready Set Sleep Collective and appreciate Emily's continued support in my endeavors even after I completed the coursework. ~~Gabrielle Carmody, BCBA, LBA

I have taken sleep courses in the past but none compare to the course I took with Emily at the Sleep Collective. Emily was such an engaging teacher, and the Sleep Collective was a space where I could learn alongside other BCBAs in a warm and supportive environment. Emily is very in tune with where parents are coming from and helped us to understand the best ways to support parents without overwhelming them. I gained a deep understanding of how sleep works from taking this course before learning how to apply that to interventions. I think this foundational learning is often overlooked in BCBA courses. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to other therapist's because sleep problems are such a common issue in our community and underly so many of the difficulties the clients we serve have with learning and challenging behaviour. ~~Emer Lee, BCBA, UK

In 8 years of being a BCBA, I have had countless families seek out support with sleep issues affecting the whole family. Until discovering The Sleep Collective, I had not felt qualified to provide recommendations in this area, though did not have any colleagues to refer out to, as nobody else had training in sleep either. After joining The Sleep Collective, I can now say that this is within the scope of my practice, and I am the person my colleagues refer out to support families with sleep. Emily's approach is comprehensive, evidence-based, and leads with empathy. She teaches sleep science in an approachable way and her mentorship has been invaluable. For these reasons, I would absolutely recommend The Sleep Collective to other BCBAs seeking to broaden their skill set and ability to support families with this critical need. ~~Kathleen Leeper, BCBA, Clinical Supervisor, Santa Barbara, CA
